Why CarrotStu?

Why CarrotStu? Well,it began because we asked how to see art better. We strained to think of a name which worked with earthy art movements and vision. It came in a flash, well more like a weak spark from a damp match in a well lit room. Carrots improve vision and grow underground; voila! CarrotStu, a way to mix imagery with ideas and see what it all boils down to.

My name is Robert, my wife is Aimee. We live and play with our children in Upstate New York. Our gallery is composed  of work which savours mid-century experimentation with abstract concepts. We also paint according to 14th - 19th century tradition. The ingredients we use are oil and paints used for industrial purposes. We also enjoy current fine art applications, everything from digital photography to digital imaging. Much of the work here is for sale and we take commissions.  We hope one of our works of art can add new dimension to your life.

Comments On CarrotStu Artwork!

First of all, you're paintings are gorgeous, All of them! But I have narrowed it down to 2 that I am interested in. After seeing them on etsy I went to your website to see if you had more and on there this particular one looked different colors in different shots. One shot looked yellowy and the other more neutral creamy. (which is what I am looking for) Also, is there any grays or blacks in there or is it all browns? The way it looks in the lighter picture on your website looks more like what I am after. I am also really loving the black and white one (the one that has the black background) I was also wondering about the color of white used in that one. It looks kinda putty colored? Another thing I wanted to ask you is if you would do some kind of layaway?

Thanks,
Tamie
